Emma is an accredited Sports Massage, Deep Tissue and Thai massage therapist. Her therapeutic massage practice is based in Fiveways in Brighton. Sports massage, Deep Tissue and Thai massage provide relief from chronic muscular tension, pain, stiffness and injury, promoting deep relaxation and mental wellbeing. Her massage approach focuses on structural balance in the whole body – improving flexibility, joint mobility and long term recovery from pain, tension and injury.
Sports massage provides relief from tight, stiff muscles and chronic pain, preventing injury and speeding up recovery time. Regular sports massage can improve muscle strength and flexibility and enhance performance for people with active lifestyles.
Thai Yoga Massage is an ancient and dynamic form of massage and healing therapy that works on energy lines in the body, linked to Chinese acupuncture and Indian Ayurveda. It provides deep release from tension, stress and chronic pain, stimulating the circulation, improving joint flexibility, boosting energy levels and aiding deep sleep.
Emma’s practice blends deep myofascial release techniques, trigger point therapy, joint mobilisation, connective tissue massage to provide whole body balance.
Emma also provides pre event and post event massage for sporting events such as marathons and cycle challenges to warm up the muscles, increase circulation and prevent injury prior to the event, and reduce fatigue and inflammation and aid in recovery post event.
Emma has an ITEC Level 3 diploma in Sports Massage and Deep Tissue Massage with the College of Classical Massage and is a qualified Thai Yoga Therapist with Jungle Healing, part of the Sunshine Network and International Society of Thai Yoga Massage.
